A better day out.

Public access

Use the public Goat Rock area and obey rookery boundaries. Dogs are prohibited; nearby Blind Beach has a separate dog-permitted zone.

Keep the coast wild

Stay at least 50 yards from the seals, and farther if they react to you. Do not approach a pup, enter the rookery, or swim here.

Planning to bring a dog? Check the land manager’s current pet rules for this exact route and beach.

March–August · pupping season

The state park identifies this as the sensitive pupping period. Observe quietly from permitted areas.
