Spooner’s Cove · Montaña de Oro

A sheltered-looking cove on a very powerful coast.

Know before you go

A little care.
A better day out.

Public access

Use Montaña de Oro State Park’s established cove access. Check the official page for day-use and road notices.

Keep the coast wild

Rocky edges, surge, and a rising tide can cut off exploration. Don’t treat the cove as a swimming recommendation.

With your dog

Leashed dogs are allowed on Spooner’s Cove Beach, roadways and campground; not on park trails.
