Know before you go
A little care.
A better day out.
Public access
Use Treasure Island Park’s public ramps. The foundation lists its tidepools as beginner terrain.
Keep the coast wild
Keep an eye on swell and the rising tide. Leave shells and wildlife where they belong; use signed access and never climb around a closure.
Planning to bring a dog? Check the land manager’s current pet rules for this exact route and beach.
A family day
A park-and-picnic outing above the shore; supervise closely on the rocks.
Shells along this shore
Look along the strand line and photograph the shells you spot. Shells and fragments vary with weather and season.
Look along the strand line as the tide recedes, when access is safe. High-water marks can hold empty shells too; finds are never guaranteed.
Photograph shells and leave the tide-pool habitat in place. Check protected-area rules; do not collect living animals or occupied shells.
